Development of innovative packaging made of fully recyclable mono-materials.
Grant application number: POIR.01.01.01-00-0780/19
The aim of the project is to develop fully recycled packaging (in accordance with the circular economy definition) with high barrier properties, which will primarily enable waste reduction
The project objective will be achieved thanks to the development of an innovative technology for processing monomaterials, allowing them to be properly formed and given barrier properties, which enables the preservation of the properties and quality of the products stored in them. In addition, it is necessary to give the products such characteristics that they can be used on the Company's customers' production lines without significant modifications to the existing machinery.
The project will have a positive impact on the implementation of the sustainable development policy set out in Regulation 1303/2013
(the results will be in line with CSR guidelines – PN-ISO 26000 standard).
The project is divided into three stages:
STAGE I
- Selection of materials with sensory properties, migration and barrier properties suitable for use in dairy products.
- Selection of materials with appropriate barrier properties suitable for use in cosmetic products.
STAGE II
- Production of prototypes for dairy and cosmetic products.
- Additionally, laboratory testing of new products, i.e., migration, sensory properties, barrier properties, oxygen transmission, resistance to sterilization, and slip value testing.
STAGE III
The key task in stage 3 is R&D work aimed at solving the technological problem associated with introducing new packaging products to existing customer packaging assembly lines.
Planned effect:
Products that are 100% recyclable
The changes described will significantly reduce the amount of waste from products placed on the market by the Company / the Company's customers.
