ESG Report 2024

ESG Objectives & Strategy
Why is ESG strategy important to us?
Formika aims to be a leader in promoting ESG strategies in our region. For years, we have been undertaking social initiatives and working toward the green transition, knowing that this is not just a trend but a necessity. We are proud that our business model aligns with the EU’s goal of achieving climate neutrality.
The acronym ESG stands for Environmental, Social, Governance, and refers to how business operations impact the environment, the community, and the company’s management philosophy. Sustainability at Formika includes, among other things: operating using energy from renewable sources generated by Formika Green Energy—a company affiliated with Formika Sp. z o.o.—supporting children through the Formika Dzieciom Foundation, implementing projects that reduce waste and increase operational efficiency, as well as many other initiatives.
Our intensive efforts toward sustainable development have once again been recognized by experts from the independent, global ESG assessment platform EcoVadis. We have been awarded the EcoVadis Silver Medal, confirming our strong and stable position among ESG leaders. The latest EcoVadis assessment confirms that our ESG activities are yielding tangible results. We achieved a score of 78%, an increase of 7 percentage points from the previous assessment—a nearly 10% year-over-year improvement. Our advancement to the 93rd percentile places us among the world’s most advanced organizations in sustainable development.
EcoVadis is one of the most recognized global ESG assessment platforms, analyzing companies’ performance across four key areas: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. The results of this assessment provide a key benchmark for business partners and stakeholders worldwide.
